Reggio-Emilia Inspired Environment
Our approach, Reggio Emilia inspired, describes how we work with children. We listen, observe, find out what interests them. This means that the child is in control and when a child feels in control, they are happy.
- Children must have some control over the direction of their learning.
- Children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, and observing.
- Children must have a relationship with other children and with material items in the world, which they should be allowed to explore.
- Children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves.
The Sustainability Mission
We live in a highly commercial, materialistic, disposable society, which often comes at an enormous environmental and emotional cost. Children spend too much time staring at screens and processed foods fill our supermarkets. That’s bad for emotional and social development – and ultimately a destructive force in the natural world.
For these reasons, We have worked to build an institution that is sustainably eco-friendly.
