The Curriculum

Dent de Lait’s classrooms provide children with distinctive learning settings and personalized programs based on their unique learning styles which emphases on developing strong foundations of the cognitive, social, language, creative, sensory, and physical skills that empower students to be knowledge bearers and researchers in their own learning experiences.

With a provocation-based learning setting, children are constantly challenged with invitations to play that stimulate their ideas and kindle their imagination through open-ended activities, such as Nature/ Outdoor-Based Play, Atelier, Beirut City Pretend Play, Theater & Puppet Show Activities, Tuff Trays, Loose-Parts Play, Tinker Trays, Sensory Bins, Mud-pie Kitchen, Gardening, Green Robotics, STEAM Activities, Crazy Lab Experiments, Technology Literacy, and Kindness & Mindfulness sessions.

Reggio-Emilia Inspired Environment

Our approach, Reggio Emilia inspired, describes how we work with children. We listen, observe, find out what interests them. This means that the child is in control and when a child feels in control, they are happy.

  • Children must have some control over the direction of their learning.
  • Children must be able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, and observing.
  • Children must have a relationship with other children and with material items in the world, which they should be allowed to explore.
  • Children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves.

The Sustainability Mission

We live in a highly commercial, materialistic, disposable society, which often comes at an enormous environmental and emotional cost. Children spend too much time staring at screens and processed foods fill our supermarkets. That’s bad for emotional and social development – and ultimately a destructive force in the natural world.
For these reasons, We have worked to build an institution that is sustainably eco-friendly.

Health & Safety

Keeping children of all ages safe and healthy is one of the most important tasks of our early-years facility. We work around the clock ensuring safety measures and cleanliness are on point at all times.

Our registered nurse is available at the center at all times taking the temperature of the children 3 times per day and mostly at the drop-off, to make sure no child is suffering from any contagious infection.

Regular sanitization of the center is scheduled with a professional supplier to diminish the occurrence of sickness.

Other safety measures such as the absence of sharp edges, small objects, and electricity plugs at lower levels are all taken into consideration when working around our facility, preventing injuries.
